Wednesday, December 1 from 3 to 6 pm was held in Venice and online the final event of the project DigLogs - Interreg Italy-Croatia 2014-2020 organized by Unioncamere del Veneto and CFLI, in cooperation with all partners.
The event, thanks to the participation of relevant experts in the field of maritime transport, has shown the current and future framework of the digitization of logistics processes in the Adriatic Sea and the results of experimental actions carried out under the project DigLogs.
The seminar, moderated by Ivan Dovadžija of the Faculty of Maritime Studies at the University of Rijeka, was opened by the institutional greetings of Roberta Lazzari of Unioncamere Veneto, Edvard Tijan, professor at the University of Rijeka, lead partner of the DigLogs project and Silvia Comiati Head of the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg Italy - Croatia program that offered an overview of the new programming period 2021 - 2027.
The event was held in three sessions: the first, dedicated to the interoperability of IT systems between the Adriatic ports was introduced by the speech of Richard Morton, Secretary General of IPCSA - International Association of Port Community Systems and saw the presentation of the development of PCS in Croatia in the framework of DigLogs project and the new Data Management solutions available for the logistics management of the Adriatic ports.
The second session introduced by Mr. Previti and Mr. Cangelosi from CETENA S.p.A. focused on the digitalization of logistic processes with the illustration of the pilot case Wharehouse Mangement System 4.0 for the digitization management of warehouses, realized by Elevante within the intermodal terminal of Gorizia and the experimentation of the digitalization of emergency evacuation systems on emergency ships realized by the University of Trieste.
Finally, the third session was dedicated to the developments of intermodality in Europe, exemplified by the pilot action for the automation of delivery systems conducted by Polo Inoltra and Actual, parter of the DigLogs project in collaboration with several Italian and Croatian ports.
