The Technical Seminar "Information technologies for security: a joint Italian and Croatian perspective for the Adriatic Sea" involved top level policy makers and stakeholders of the maritime sector (IALA, EMSA) and the discussion addressed how ICT solutions standards can improve data exchange, safety of navigation and best port performances.
In a specific session of the Seminar, initiatives under implementation at the ports of Venice and Chioggia were presented as a best case testbed. The security of navigation and the efficiency of port operations are indeed influenced by the data and information flows that allows the port community to have more detailed analysis to schedule the activities. In this respect INTESA project aims at accelerating the digital infrastructures to have real time integration of information that can help the safe navigation, also in a cross border perspective for the competitiveness of the Adriatic Ports.
