Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological Service (DHMZ) in cooperation with Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar organized local event titled “Development of SECAP and measures to mitigate and adapt City of Cres to climate change” with the aim to present the main achievements of the ongoing work within the project RESPONSe and final draft of the SECAP document for the City of Cres. The local event was part of a larger event named “2. Dani čiste energije otoka Cresa i Lošinja” (eng. “2nd Days of clean energy of the Cres and Lošinj islands”).
Within the event three presentations were held - one by Mr. Vjeran Magjarević (Future climate changes in the area of the City of Cres) and two by Mr. Ilja Drmač (Development of SECAP for the City of Cres, Climate change mitigation and adaptation measures).
The presentations sparked a discussion focusing on the possibility of implementing and adopting SECAP by local authorities.
