The CREATE project has organized a side event during the annual event organized by the Italy – Croatia Managing Authority.

This event was the occasion to highlight achievements and findings made by recent Interreg projects dedicated to climate change adaptation in the Italy-Croatia CBC programme, which joined in the CREATE Cluster (Adriadapt, Change We Care, Ideal, Joint Secap and Readiness) and beyond, (Adriaclim, Most and Secure).

Achievements and findings made in these projects were presented by representatives of the projects and were used as the starting point for an interactive discussion among all participants in the event on topics to be addressed in future Interreg projects, so to give an overview on what is needed for enabling local authorities to plan and implement adaptation action in the Adriatic area.

In particular, elements for improving governance of adaptation, for making knowledge and better and more reliable data accessible to all and for accelerating implementation of measures for adaptation were discussed as a basis for future proposals.
