November 12. The Adswim project partners The institution for public utilities Izvor Ploče, in collaboration with Vodovod i kanalizacija Split (Split water and sewerage company Ltd),  organized a study visit for the experts to the wastewater treatment plant "Stupe" in Split.  

The main goal of the visit was to show the entire process of wastewater treatment and the basic characteristics of the plant. The study visit included a tour of the Laboratory for wastewater treatment plants where continuous measurements of the amount of wastewater is carried out and wastewater from the said drainage system is diluted and is mainly loaded with nutrients, phosphorus and nitrogen. Afterward a thematic meeting with the experts was held.

The institution for public utilities Izvor Ploče ) in collaboration with Split Water and sewerage company Ltd. (PP9),  also organized the first local workshop for experts via virtual platform “Zoom” on Friday, 13th of November 2020.

The main goal of the virtual workshop organized was to present the innovative technologies for wastewater treatment and purification - aerobic granular biomass, photo-disinfection and the possibilities of their application in the process of wastewater treatment and purification of the agglomerations of Ploče, Split-Solin and Kaštela-Trogir.
